As JC life begins to draw to a quiet close (hahaha technically JC life is over but it doesn't really feel like that's the case yet huh), and fellow classmates busy themselves with serving the nation (involuntarily), work, ecetera ecetera, I'm sure the 6V SPIRIT still burns strongly in each and every one of us (:

Corina and I were reading the archives of the class blog the other day, and it really dawned on us that we've really been thru so much tgt as a class of 26 (: we're truly united and we stand tgt, firm and tall in the face of all adversity. Still rmb the times of ouch (i rmb all the aosa, aosala, aosara etcetc), the times we scaled LT4 side wall on Fridays after phy prac while waiting for math lecture HAHA (ninja warriors) among others? (: Those times were priceless and I'm sure they will always remain dear to our hearts (:

As we go about life in the next few months and years, let us always be together, whether physically (WEEKLY/MONTHLY CLASS DINNERS, ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY), emotionally, or in spirit. No doubt we will make new friends and forge new relationships in Uni/NS, but let us never forget (hey isnt this the title of some HC song) the times we've had tgt as 6V, AS THE MIGHTY 6V :D

We are each unique individuals in our own rights, special in our own ways, and I have confidence we will all go far and make something of our lives! (:

HEYYYY 6V! :DDDDDDDDD

Our highly-anticipated chalet is coming up! :DDDDDD For all those who are still not in the know, it's a 3D2N chalet @ ALOHA LOYANG, SEA VIEW TERRACE 1 FROM 27th - 29th JAN 2010 :D

I've gotten confirmation from approx 11 people who can stay throughout :D Everyone else (esp the working people) pls try to join us at night or sth okay! :D Will roughly go through the highlights of each day so you guys can plan when to come :D

OKAYYY, basically it's going to be an awesome 3 Days 2 Nights with awesommmmeee company (:

First day checkin pretty late alr, so we'll prob just settle in, unpack, play cards etc etc :D after dinner, we're going TO CLUB:D YES CLUBBING. HAHAHAHA for all of us i think, it'll be our very first time, so YAY *adds clubbing to the long list of 'FIRSTS' done tgt with 6V people!* Reason for going clubbing on Wed is cus its LADIES NIGHT, which means us ladies got free entry, but the guys have to pay extra (: but cus we have more girls than guys, overall it'll be cheaper for everyone if we all go on ladies night and then split the cost :D SMART RIGHT, haha thankyou mokzy for his ingenious idea. firstly.
mark and i are practitioners of 空手道.

and that day was a chance for us to exhibit our ideology

you will see that the pro has a certain posture of power

see, he controls with 2 hands too. no excuses there.

now, let us look at an example of an epic phail kite flyer.
his hand position is slack and downwards.
hence of course the kite only fly downwards.

also, one must note that the pro wears shoes, while the amateurs wear slippers.
therefore the stance is not stable, and is unable to achieve 脚踏实地 configuration.

haha sian. this is the ngmeiting. because i am bored, and because i dislike seeing that cup of helium at the top of our class blog, i have decided to update our stagnant-until-cannot class blog :D

The tried and tested. class outings?

perhaps others might be envious of all the outings.
but to me.
A class of memories. is really a waste if there wasnt any preservation of memory. beyond these outings.

perhaps. i value and treasure. the little moments.

Let me take you through my journey of a crazy house i went to visit today.
Alienic. Totally alienic.
And i thought Caroline's house was alien enough. This one too.

The external. With doors from the outside, as well as inside. 4/5(?) rooms on the ground floor for rental. Already 3 rented out.

Ground floor interior. Uh okay no comments. It's not very furnished yets. I thought it looked like an underground gambling den. :X LOL oh! it's an open concept. there's no gate/ fence/ door, so anyone can actually walk in.

Now, moving up a level, I take you to the SECOND floor! :D CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY. In EVERY room, there's a toilet. See the stairs on the left hand side? Yea, it comes from the stairs formt he earlier picture, and leads up to the 3rd floor.
ON the 2nd floor, WE HAVE

- AN OPEN KITCHEN.
WTS. Yea, there're kitchen facilities, fridge, ++

3rd FLOOR! this stairway leads all the way from the ground floor as you can see. Uh, and that's the spoastic small owner there. This is taken from the 3rd floor btw. And behind this wall there's a rooftop open area still under construction. This place is pretty much still not done.

Same place, different angle. That platform there, Yanqi and Meiqi's future room. THE STAIRWAY LEADING TO IT IS BEHIND THAT FIRST DOOR ON THE LEFT. ohyea, so 3.5 floors. And if you walk stright further in,

Many of these deities are becoming more and more irrelevant in today's context. For example, in the past, where the GDP was contributed largely by agricultural productions, the worship of 土地公 was extremely relevant. However, knowledge-based economy in the 21th century posed a great challenge for these deities. They had to either adapt to the changes or risk phasing out. In the KBE, they no longer get to enjoy the EOS they once had. Deitism is now considered a niche market alongside dominant religions with extensive networking.

As ironic as it may sound, religions need to evolve as well. Even deities must learn new skills to suit the society today or risk becoming jobless in our highly competitive society.

2. The Practices

A display of adaptability and resilience, the success story of Toilet公 will inspire you people out there. This is how Toilet公 looks like:

Only supernatural reasons can account for this hair-standing physics-defying occurrence. Toilet公 must have been the reason.

Wax is often used to achieve such hair-standing results, but what made TongZi's hair stand naturally? That is holy grail of Toilet公nism.

Will we ever find this holy grail? I don't have the slightest clue. But there are truly amusing speculations on the identity of this product. What are some of these speculations? We will investigate later on.

Feminist have long argued over the gender of Toilet公. For no one have actually seen Toilet公 before, how can we be so sure that Toilet公 is a he and not a she? So let us investigate this question.

Because majority of worshippers are male, it is rather disturbing to believe that a female deity watches over them in the male toilet, thus, believers prefer to believe that Toilet公 is that of their own gender. The belief that Toilet公 is in fact Toilet公 and not Toilet婆 is a matter of preference, there is no arbitrary evidence to state that Toilet公 is actually male.

Ah while i was rummaging through my files, I discovered this! A small segment of the literature that was never published - TongZiYue. See if you understand LOL its full of crap!

3. Time's up. Power up and explode.

Historical Reference:

“Time’s up. Power up and explode.” is a renowned quote from philosopher 童子. The meaning and value of this ingenious idiom is astoundingly close to our hearts.

Time is a perplexed concept. 童子grasped this concept and managed to interpret and present it in the most implicit manner. In the past, people thought that time was constant for everyone until decades ago when Albert Einstein came along. Einstein revised the concept of time, integrating it with space to form the concept of space-time.

Since then, there were no major breakthroughs in this field until philosopher童子 came about, redefining the very fundamentals of time with his world renowned phrase: “Time’s up. Power up and explode.”

He created this phrase during an attempted mission to exterminate 金龙, a competitor over Koreanna, by fully combusting a butanol bomb to form carbon dioxide and water only.

Literature Interpretation:

            In the literature context, “Time’s up” is a symbol of the priority of time in the philosopher’s life and also in all our lives. 童子 crafted his first 2 words of the phrase in such a manner that it can be interpreted in 2 distinct ways.

This is foreseeable as童子 is a fond user of the technique of Symmetry in Duality in which is a representation of 童子’s early days with his one and only sweetheart Koreanna from South Korea. They were forced into separation when the Korean War kept her in captivation, and then elimination, causing segregation, and frustration, upon this nation. But till the very last second of his life, 童子 still loved Koreanna deeply. He hence developed the literature technique of Symmetry in Duality to represent Koreanna and himself, never to be parted again.

Upon his death bed, 童子 said: “韩国呐呐！虽然我们今生无缘，但来世我还会娶你为妻！” a phrase now commonly used my many 古装 Chinese TV drama series despite countless patent right lawsuits from 硬如三铁有限公司 which claims the legal rights over this phrase. Till today, the technique of Symmetry in Duality remains as a subtle reminder to 童子 and Koreanna’s undying, TIME defying love.

            The first of the Symmetry in Duality in “Time’s up” implies that time is running out for him in every manner deemed possible. This technically meant that he did not have enough time to arrive at the answer for the enthalpy change of combustion of butanol because he did not know the heat capacity of the bomb shell. This resulted in an inaccurate value for temperature recorded, thus, becoming a limitation to his plan to exterminate his competitor金龙. 童子 could have used a bomb shell with lower heat capacity so as to reduce heat loss to the bomb shell, making the value of the energy released from combusting butanol more accurate.

The second of the Symmetry in Duality in “Time’s up” implies that the value for time is increasing as t approaches infinity. This is interlinked to the second segment of the idiom, “Power up and explode”.

The second segment of the idiom, “Power up and explode”, is yet another breakthrough in literature. 童子 is one of the forefathers of Physical Literature, one of the few philosophers who introduced physics into their literature work. After defining time, 童子 moved on the elaborate on the effects of time on power (P=E/t according to Newton). 童子 disagrees with Newton that power is inversely proportionate to time by stating that “Time up = Power up”.

After defying Einstein’s space time concept, 童子 once again attempted to dispute over Newton’s Power/time equivalence (P=E/t). This reflected童子’s desire to impress Koreanna with his multiple talents in arts and science.

            After “Time’s up. Power up…” 童子 decided to further differentiate his concept of power/time proportionality using implicit literature, “…and explode”. This move effectively reduced the cross elasticity between Newton’s power/time equivalence and his power/time proportionality concept, giving him pricing power.

            By saying “Power up and explode”, 童子 implied that although the reaction between the butanol used in the bomb and oxygen in the atmosphere is highly exothermic, they can exist together simply because the activation energy is high and requires increasing power to explode.

Conclusion:

            Although well defined and logical, 童子 did not have the chance to carry out his master plan to bomb 金龙 with the butanol bomb as his plans were foiled by imperial police, who held him in captivation. However, it was rumored that he managed to escape through the 茅厕 window.

Any incidents or characters that resembles real life is purely coincidental. School starting in 2 days time! Have fun!

I want to take this special hour (haha) to really thank everyone in 6V so being so fantastic, sporty, fun, and lovely (:

I know there's some of us closer to the cls than others, a few who don't really go for class outings and what not, but I know we're 6V, we're ONE in heart.

We've been so awesome this past yr, winning the fac flag competition early in the yr, and rocking HC with our presence ;D that's an understatement, really.

Hey everyone, geared up for our EOY bash next tues (30/12)? :D

Secret Santa assignments have been handed out by yours truly, now its up to you to get your mortal (?!) a nice gift btw S$5-S$10 :D It's the thought that counts mm? :D

So anyway, meet 1pm at Clementi MRT control station! :D

Yupp we'll go for a quick economical lunch, then go lisyn's house to play and have fun ;D

we can't cook dinner there D: so we'll either order in food, or go west coast plaza makan dinner :D

weeks away from 08s6v, and you thought everything will die down?

who would've expected it?

A wise man once said, "absence makes the heart grow fondue is very nice to eat."

Not his exact words, but i guess you get what i mean. So the real story begins here.

Set the scene: It was a bright sunny afternoon and there were only 3 miserable contacts from group 08s6v online- one machine[m-groups], ~~2 humans~~ 1 human [tongzi] and 1 robot [corinachang].

I striked a conversation with 我大姐说, because i thought 天底下哪有这么巧的事? They must have set a timing to come online together to discuss some -important- stuff which i don't know and have no wish to guess.

So in the end i found out they weren't alking to each other and that Corina WISHED that tongzi would talk to her. Maybe we can call that 'Lorbot Chang's Xmas wish 2009'.
Simple yet demanding wish.

So i got the hint and had to be the middleman.

But being the typical 'i must act shy' girl, corina chang tried to stop me and she put on her personal msg, "TONGZI IGNORE GYGI. YOU TRUST ME OR TRUST GYGI?

Alrite after some discussion on Mgrps, it has been concluded that our partay will be a POST XMAS PARTY!

This is owing to the constraints in time, everyone's schedules etc etc!

A post party will give more time to plan (whee) and we could even merge the xmas concept with our 2009 countdown idea :D haha (only 5 days apart)

and it need not rly have to be an xmas party cus i know some of us don't celebrate xmas and its abit weird here and there, but yupp it can just be an arbitrary 6V PARTAY! :D

Okay guys, I woke up this morning thinking, WE REALLY NEED A CLASS TEE :D

Hey guys (:

Please check out an SMB message sent on 17 Nov by Mr Chan - about the format, duration and topics tested for the various subjects for JC2 Block Test 1. It's gonna take place over the last week of Term 1 (11 Mar-13 Mar) and Term 2 1st week (23 Mar - 25 Mar) next year!

Hahaha I don't mean to be some bearer of bad news and bring this saddening news (aforementioned) to you guys. But hey it's a fact! Those are our block test 1 topics! These are the formats. Instead of avoiding it too much this year, (giving the excuse that next year will be tough as hell and we're having our share of next year's laxng NOW), let's just anticipate it, do abit of revision here and there, try our best to touch (i say touch, not complete haha) our holiday homework, so that next year won't be too much of a struggle, and we can still enjoy (well, a little) of our J2 year.

Like Mama always says (okay maybe i just invented it now haha),

IF YOU CAN'T AVOID IT, EMBRACE IT, WITH WIDE OPEN ARMS :D

and do that with a smile, too. (:

It's been a fleeting one year already, guys. The year's coming to an end. It's a good time for reflection. (: about what you've achieved in this year, what you want to achieve in 09, for yourself, your class, your cca.

6V! I'm really proud of us. When we have Apollo Fac Com meetings and Ms Wong asks about class updates - anyone being discriminated? Any people AP? That sort of thing, some other CT Reps go.. hrmmmm. and blah blah.

anyw, its the little imperfections that really make us unique as a class. The vast permutations and combinations of different people with different characters make us gel as one, solid class. I don't know about you guys, but each time we get assignments and I write 08S6V (under the Class:____), I actually feel prouder than when I'm writing Thiamjiamin (under the Name:____)

We've come a long, long way guys. And next yr, the road is going to be tougher, prickled with more thorns for us to walk through. Let's take on this journey together, hand in hand, and brave through the storms! I've said this before and I'll say it again:

Our class BBQ at Mr Koh's condo was a blast! (:

Annie (away for yellowcity meeting), Tim (away for some NUS thing) and all our class boarders' council people who had something on, and wensen (who's alr in China!), you guys were terribly missed!

NOW THERE IS CLASS CHALET TO LOOK FORWARD TO WAHAHA :D

I'll be coming up with details for bbq, (logistics and whatnot) and will be letting you guys know! (: Let me know if you're free this coming Monday so we can go get the stuff we need! (: Meanwhile, start thinking of all the fun stuff we can do at chalet! :D yayyyyy! :D
